Sometimes planning for the ‘big trip’ isn’t easy, especially when it seems so far away. Though your plans may seem so far in the distance, it can thankfully provide the time needed to prepare. Maxine and Rob, from Kent, England, have been planning their trip for over three years. Follow their Instagram to follow their trip @thespacehoppers
A message from Kim for our readers: “…if I could give you two pieces of advice it would be to plan less and say “yes” more often. I have found that having an open mind and schedule can open up so many doors for you – take advantage of that. Accept and respect cultural differences, try new things, and step out of your comfort zone. Be scared but do things anyways – truly live.”
How many of us can say we have avoided travel at first because we didn’t think we could afford it? (Definitely me!!) I feel like I am pretty well past that point, but I could not believe it when I saw Imogen (@imogenblow) travels on only €10 a day including accommodations! What’s the least you’ve traveled on in a single day?

Madison, from the United States, was introduced to travel when she studied abroad in Italy. Her 5 months in Rome were enough to convince her to move back after college and accept a job there. Living in Italy, she now has access to puddle jumpers and trains all over Europe to continue exploring her passion for travel.
The most common question travelers are asked by those who don’t travel is “How do you afford it?” While the answer may vary amongst us, we believe it comes down to one simple truth… we just make it work. Whether it’s budgeting on what was saved, working entirely remotely, or picking up odd jobs in the locations we travel to, it doesn’t matter, we make it work. Rachel, in her blog Trailing Rachel, is a wonderful example of someone knowing they wanted to travel and just making it work. She went from being a lawyer in North Carolina to traveling off her savings to then working on the road.
